The Georgia Salzburger Society was established in 1925. It has a membership of nearly seventeen hundred throughout the United States including some international members. The Society’s activities are organized around preserving the history and traditions of the early settlers of Old Ebenezer and New Ebenezer as well as genealogical research of the descendants of those original settlers. Visit the Site of Ebenezer, 2980 Ebenezer Road, Rincon, Georgia: tour the Salzburger home, stand on the shore line of the Savannah River, see the Jerusalem Evangelical Lutheran Church (built in 1769), and browse in the Salzburger Museum and be taken back in time. The Georgia Salzburger Society continues to preserve the history and the folklore of the Salzburgers. Celebrate with us the wonderful ‘Heritage of our Ancestors’.
