A gathering to
celebrate the |
"The Revolutionary War at Ebenezer" will be the theme of the
annual Heritage Day celebration at Ebenezer on Labor Day, Monday, the 5th of
September.
The
speaker will be Robert S. Davis, Professor of Genealogy, Geography, and
History at Wallace State Community College, Hanceville, Alabama. His topic:
"In passing and amazement - The spectacle of the American Revolution in
Ebenezer"

LUNCH ... Jerusalem Lutheran Church
partnering with GSS will provide lunch at the church...a BBQ dinner (BBQ,
string beans, potato salad, roll, pickles and iced tea) with desserts made
by many of the congregation members. Cost of tickets is $10 in advance by
calling 912-754-3915 or mailing a
check
to 2966 Ebenezer Road, Rincon, GA 31326, or stop by the church office. Meal
will be served from 11:30 am till all is gone. When meeting is over, come on
to the social hall, there will be some extra but it does not usually last
long. The youth will also be serving Bratwurst on the grounds, if you prefer
a lighter fare.
In afternoon a German singing group "The Crabettes" (World-famous) For 21 years Savannah's Crabettes have been wooing the Coastal Empire with their toe-tapping, body-swaying, hand-clapping music ... became world famous on their world tour! There will also be the usual outside activities including the marketplatz with handmade items to sell, jellies and jams and pickles and some fresh local produce along with native plants AND THAT GOOD OLE TIMEY LEMONADE!!
